Located 30 minutes away from Gregorio Luperón (POP) airport and 90 minutes from Cibao (STI) airport in Santiago, both international airports, getting to the Peninsula is effortless. The Peninsula is also in close proximity to two cruise ship ports, Amber Cove, which is only 7 minutes away, and Taino Bay, situated in the center of Puerto Plata, is just 15 minutes away. 

Puerto Plata, one of the most historic cities in the country, is just 15 minutes away and offers various excursions at affordable prices. 

For those interested in playing golf, the Peninsula is also close to multiple golf courses, including the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones golf course in Playa Dorada (25 minutes) and the 9-hole Los Mangos golf course in Costambar (10 minutes). 

For kids and family fun during the day, and fun for the parents and their friends in the evening, the Ocean World Marina & Casino is just 5 minutes away – a place definitely worth a daytrip. The possibility to swim with dolphins is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that cannot be missed out on.

Peninsula Esmeralda Villas are the epitome of excellence. The service was amazing and the kindness of everyone with whom I dealt from day one was refreshing. The staff is very professional, especially our private chef, Felix. He always went the extra mile preparing each of our meals for our 7 night stay.
